California wines are prized for their flavors, production methods, and their rich history and tradition. The popular winemaking regions of Sonoma and Napa Valley bring to mind decades of family-owned vineyards, not to mention greener, more sustainable grape-growing and winemaking rituals. The varied flavors of these California wines play very nicely with a variety of cuisine, making Sonoma’s Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery the perfect complement to a special wine dinner at the Yardley Inn.
The Yardley Inn’s upcoming Sebastiani Wine Dinner takes place on Thursday, April 18 beginning at 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy a fine selection of Sebastiani wines matched with five courses of Executive Chef Eben Copple’s creative cuisine. A true wine aficionado, Chef Copple studies each wine and designs a unique menu for the evening based on flavors and key notes of each varietal.
Anthony D’Anna, regional manager for Sebastiani and Foley Family Wines, will be speaking at the dinner, sharing information about each wine featured. Chef Eben’s creative palate inspired the following pairings for the Sebastiani Wine Dinner at the Inn:
Poached Maine lobster, chickpea panisses, coral butter, pea tendrils
Umeboshi cured torchon of foie gras, black truffle, cinnamon toast
Country ham wrapped albacore, morel mushroom, black garlic, wild arugula risotto
Seared spring lamb loin, ramp and new potato puree, charred vidalia jus
Birchrun blue cheesecake, rhubarb zinfandel conserve
The cost to attend the Yardley Inn’s Sebastiani Wine Dinner is $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Call 215-493-3800 or visit www.yardleyinn.com to make your reservations.
